ANAMORPHIC PHOTOGRAPHY

Anamorphic lenses were first developed in the 1950's to create something new for the audience, a wider aspect ratio, commonly known at the time as Cinemascope. These types of lenses have been vastly used ever since in countless films for cinematography. But are rarely used for still photography. Combining them with various vintage lenses such as Leica, Contax Zeiss, Nikon Nikkor, Canon and others, it captures a wider image with unique oval bokeh and distortion, the characteristics making these lenses so sought after.
